Delta Rho History

Delta Rho Chapter History The Delta Rho Chapter was chartered June 16, 1956 at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. It was chartered by Province Polemarch Thomas Bradley under the guidance of the Gamma Alpha Chapter. The Delta Rho chapter was the first African American organization on SJSu's campus. The chapter has had two Junior Province Vice Polemarchs big brother Galen Chapelle and big brother Tayadi Daye. Chapter accomplishments are as follows: The first NPHC 2005 chapter of the year award, 2004-2005 Western Provinnce undergraduate chapter of the year, scrapbook of the year, song fest of the year, Kappa quiz bowl, and various other awards. The Delta Rho chapter has reached its golden anniversary celebrating many deeds and achievements. The Delta Rho tradition lives on.
